Blue Moon Harem

    This is a rock band who's sound is soothing to a time that you want to relax and not fall asleep, with every beat that the drum plays takes you into a rhythmic harmonious relaxation. At that point you want to tap your toes to the beat with your head lying back and your eyes closed, just enjoying the music.

    Two of them first met playing in a popular Boston band called Requiem in the middle of the 90's.

    The guitarist Joannou had been looking for someone to be vocals to spawn an idea with his music, when his teacher mentioned a mutual friend who wasgoing through a tough time and needed a job and guidance for his music. So, Joannou helped Bix get hired in his father’s company.

    Then Joannou and Bix began tospend time in the studio together, and wound up making an album together that was being played all over the air waves in and around Boston and it was also featured three times on Harvey Warfield’s famed Boston Music Showcase. 


    Working with rhythm players from such legendary Boston bands as Scissorfight and Two Ton Shoe, Bix and Joannou recorded a full-length Requiem CD in 1997 that landed them a spot on the DiscMakers New England Battle of the Bands.Both album and band was well received from Charlestown to China, they both felt a need to change their sound and go their own way.
